Meet Your Hosts
Locals Who Live and Breathe the Northwoods
Chris and Katie Bernard are lifelong Minnesotans who live where they guide, on the south shore of Lake of the Woods. They bring deep knowledge of the land, a passion for responsible hunting, and a warm, welcoming camp to everyone who visits.
You'll stay at Whispering Pines, where Katie keeps the house running smoothly with thoughtful meals and comfortable rooms and Chris leads each hunt with precision and experience. Living just a mile up the road, your hosts are nearby to make your hunt a success.
Step into the deep quiet of the Northwoods and take part in a whitetail hunting experience rooted in tradition, conservation, and connection to the land. Our semi-guided hunts take place on privately managed forest and farmland in Northern Minnesota — a region known for its thick timber, hidden clearings, and healthy deer populations.
WHY WE HUNT
Rooted in Conservation, Tradition, and Purpose
In Northern Minnesota, hunting is heritage. We offer semi-guided hunts with a focus on conservation, clean harvests, and meaningful time in the woods. Our goal isn’t just filling tags — it’s connecting people to the land and to the rhythm of the season.
Join us on a meaningful hunt aimed at supporting responsible population management. Whether you're an experienced hunter or setting out for the first time, we’ll guide you through a safe, respectful harvest — one that provides meat for the table and purpose for the pursuit.
Our hunts are tailored to meet your comfort and skill level, and include the opportunity to harvest a deer. For those interested, additional tags can be used for a small fee, in accordance with Minnesota DNR regulations. You'll have access to comfortable lodging, hot meals, and an experienced guide who knows these woods well.
At the heart of what we do is a deep respect for wildlife, sustainable practices, and the stories that unfold in the woods. Come hunt with us — and experience the stillness, the challenge, and the reward of a Minnesota whitetail season done right.
